Godlike status given to Queen Victoria's husband Albert in this extravagant memorial located in central London's Kensington gardens which is also home to kensington Palace. Sited opposite the Royal Albert hall and on Albert Memorial Road the Albert memorial was unveiled to the public in 1872. It was designed by George Gilbert Scott.
