COLD TELEPHONE BOX (2010)

the once ubiquitous red telephone box is a rarer sight around London today. In the past it was the only public phone box available but as competition to British Telecom entered the fray other telecoms companies put their public call boxes on London's streets. The advent of mobile technology transformed the way we live and sounded the death knell for all public phone boxes but they do remain but are far less in number than they once were. The un-Tardis like BT red phone boxes were blighted by vandalism as kids found a way to retrieve money from them rendering them useless but the cubicle like phoneboxes did help kep the weather at bay on occasion and were often used as a public urinal... or worse
