the original home of the Buxton memorial was a five minute walk from here but was relocated to Victoria Tower Gardens in 1957, the year you'll be fascinated to learn was the birth of my sister. This attractive and unusual architecture had stood for nearly ninety years just outside Parliament Square and I don't know the reason it was uprooted to the less frenetic area it stands today. Thomas F Buxton was a founder in laws to abolish slavery in England and throughout the world and this edifice commemorates his contribution towards that end
