GIRL WITH THE WORLD IN HER HANDS or the HARMONY SCULPTURE BY LORENZO QUINN (JUNE 2015)
this figurative sculpture of a female holding the Earth in her hands is one part of the a much larger artwork on display in busy Park Lane London. It's not the first time the artist Lorenzo Quinn has had his sculptures displayed at this spot and I might have missed this eye catching work had I not been riding in the area recently. To borrow (nick) the artists words of what this sculpture titled Harmony is about - though harder to fathom given I've taken a snapshot of just part of it:

'I have always been attracted by the symbol of the yin and yang and that couples could see themselves reflected by their meanings.

Each person fills a space that the other was missing and therefore completing his companion. This creates a perfect harmony that is essential to every relationship.

Every relationship is the meeting of two worlds that become a whole.'
