UNOFFICIAL HOUR RECORD BROKEN BY BOY (2014)
Sir Bradley Wiggins, Britain's most celebrated cycling star just last month broke the world Hour record setting a new standard for those brave enough to attempt to break it....and they will try. The record was shattered in the very same area of east London by this young boy but sadly his ride is unofficial and therefore will never be accepted. He uses an outdoor track, again not strictly within the rules governing such records and rode his not very areodynamic bike with stabilisers around the Aquatic centre in the former Olympic park in Stratford. Sir Bradley broke his record a five minute ride from here (one minute if you're Wiggo) in the velodrome and I watched with my brother the live event... on television and it was fantastic to witness

behold the new (Sir) Bradley Wiggins unleashing a devastating turn of pace around the Aquatics centre
