strangely voted as one of the world's ugliest architectural estates.....twice!! Somehow doubt the people living on a 'sink' estate and many others would agree. St Georges Wharf development was completed during the noughties. The cyclindrical tower skyscraper was one of the last buildings to be completed as part of this south of the river Thames riverside development and is apparently the tallest sole residential buildings in the UK. St George Wharf spans seven acres. It isn't a gated community but has all the essentials should one not want to venture outside those 7 acres including a Doctor's surgery, a dentist practice, supermarket, bar, restaurant, gym and spa.
